Installations 1

As a multidisciplinary director, I use technology with concepts of time and space to tell compelling stories. My work often explores
the interplay between nature and technology, a recurring theme that shapes my creative approach. For various campaigns and projects,
I have designed and built immersive Light & Space installations with my team, using light as a powerful language. I have had the
privilege of creating impactful work for clients such as Lincoln, Sony, Toyota, Johns Hopkins, and Aston Martin.

Engineered with soul

Client: Audi
Project: Audi A5 TVC
TVC, global campaign
We partnered with Audi’s Chief Designer to document the artistic journey of the new Audi A5. Showcasing signature
hand-drawings and character lines, we used innovative technology to turn sketches into light-capturing visuals,
merging art with engineering in a new approach to car design.

Site-specific light installations

The project began as a commissioned installation for a prominent public space, intended to create an immersive and dynamic experience
for viewers through the interplay of light, form, and shadow. The installation’s success in engaging the public led to a series of exhibitions
in different urban settings across the United States.
The project evolved in response to each unique space. Each iteration of the installation was adapted to complement the architecture and
atmosphere of its new environment. The shifting contexts allowed the work to explore new themes, such as the interaction between natural
and artificial light, or the relationship between the installation and the viewers’ movements.

BALANCE

Balance delves into the concept of equilibrium through a carefully choreographed performance of objects
and humans interacting to maintain a delicate balance. Utilizing cinematic techniques, the film merges
kinetic motion, technology, and human precision to create a captivating visual and emotional experience
of balance. Drawing inspiration from the kinetic art of Alexander Calder, Hutzler’s work invites the audience
into a meditative exploration of harmony in movement.

NYC Unscripted

It began as a bold visual campaign, initially commissioned to capture the pulse of New York City’s street culture through the lens of urban sports and local communities.
The aim was to showcase the raw athleticism, passion, and creativity of local players while reflecting the unique character of each borough, deeply embedded in New York’s DNA. As the project unfolded, the imagery began to capture more than just the game; it became a narrative of the city itself, vibrant, full of movement and life.

"The New Yorker" commissioned on many occasions and delved deeper into the heartbeat of this project. The documentary-style approach became an exploration of community identity and resilience, offering a fresh perspective on New York City. The series has since been featured in galleries, public exhibitions, and editorial spreads, inviting ongoing dialogue about the stories that shape our urban landscape.
